In 1989, Marina and Giannis Konstantinou started selling books, toys, and gift items with two stores in the town of Andros. 32 years later, the story of their business continues through their two daughters, Irini and Elina. Today, the two sisters have managed to keep the family tradition alive and grow their stores into one of the most successful businesses on the island. However, when the pandemic entered our lives and significantly affected tourism and local economies, the Konstantinou family found themselves at a business dead end. That was the moment Irini decided she had to do something immediately to save their family business. So, she joined the Skroutz platform.

"My first thought, when I joined Skroutz, was that since I didn't have my own e-shop, it would be very difficult to organize the whole system. But the Skroutz platform is so easy for the merchant. Within a few days, it's very easy for anyone to learn it," says Irini about her start.

At first, Irini started uploading their products to Skroutz timidly. The more products she added, the more she saw their sales skyrocket. To the point where their online sales on the marketplace were so many that even the four family members couldn't pack them all in time! So far, Irini has uploaded more than 3,500 products to the Skroutz platform, with the goal of continuing with even more. Skroutz opened a new hopeful chapter for the Konstantinou family's small seasonal business. Now, through online sales, the two stores continue to operate non-stop all 12 months of the year.

"Skroutz is essentially a reference point for our business, because through it we were able to grow a lot, to place orders we never dared to place before." , says Irini.

And she adds that "We managed to go from a small seasonal business to a permanent business that operates all year round."
